Webtree Authoring Limited was formed in 2008 to provide a bespoke consulting service to businesses of all sizes. Webtree Authoring is lead by Mark Charlton, an experienced Business IT Consultant.

Mark Charlton has been in the IT business since 1996, successfully running his own consultancy for the past 12 years. He graduated from Sunderland University with a First Class honours degree in Business Computing.

Before incorporating Webtree Authoring he worked as a freelance Business IT Consultant, working for organisations of all sizes, including self employed photographers, small family run businesses, multi-million pound organisations, international corporations, councils and the NHS. Mark has worked in both Europe and the United States.

Amongst other voluntary commitments Mark works with UK Skills, a not for profit organisation, promoting vocational skills competitions in the UK. Specifically helping to run the IT Office Software Application competition and training UK competitors to enter the World Skills competitions. Competing in 1999 at the Montreal World Skills competition Mark won the UK's only Silver Medal, (visible in the photo). It was in this capacity that he was invited to speak at the Houses of Parliament to a delegation of MP's about the 2011 World Skills Competition being hosted in London, highlighting the many benefits of skills competitions to UK industry.
